Welcome to The Flower Farmers ! My name is Bas Meeuwenoord, I was born and raised in the Bollenstreek. From the age of twelve I was involved in everything that has to do with flower bulbs: from helping on the land to getting to know the different varieties and their unique properties. It quickly became clear to me that the flower bulb sector is more than a hobby—it is a real passion.

When I turned sixteen, I decided to further develop this passion by following a course focused on the cultivation and care of flower bulbs. This study gave me in-depth insight into the way flower bulbs grow, bloom and distinguish themselves. At the same time, I immersed myself in the rich tradition of my family, who have had a flower bulb nursery in Noordwijkerhout for generations. That family craft has inspired me to bring the Bollenstreek to a wider audience.

Our mission
The Bollenstreek is known worldwide for its exceptional soil, climate and expertise, built up over many generations. At The Flower Farmers we want to bring that knowledge and quality directly to the consumer. This way the grower can focus on what he or she does best—growing top quality flower bulbs—while we take care of the distribution, promotion and customer contact.

The soil, the location by the sea and the years of experience ensure flower bulbs of unparalleled quality. I am extremely proud that I can contribute to the continuation and renewal of this regional tradition with The Flower Farmers.
