If you order before 23:59 , your order will be shipped the next day. This way we ensure that your dahlia tubers and flower bulbs arrive quickly and in perfect condition!

What should I do if my order is damaged?

If there is any damage to your order, please contact our customer service within 48 hours of receipt. Send clear photos of the damaged products and the packaging. We will make sure the problem is solved quickly!

Is it possible to track my order?

Yes, that is possible! As soon as your order has been shipped, you will receive a track & trace code by email. With this you can easily follow your order to your front door. This way you will always be informed about the delivery!

How and when do I plant dahlias?

Plant dahlias in the spring, as soon as the risk of frost has passed, usually from mid-April to the end of May . Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Plant the tubers about 5 cm deep with the eyes facing upwards and keep a distance of 30-50 cm between the tubers. Water immediately after planting and continue to water regularly, especially during dry periods. This way you can enjoy beautiful flowers in the summer!

How much water do dahlias need?

Dahlias need regular watering, especially during hot and dry periods. Give them a good amount of water about 2-3 times a week , so that the soil remains moist but not soggy. Make sure you water at the roots and not on the leaves, to prevent mold. During rainy weeks, extra watering is not necessary.

Can dahlias be planted in pots?

Yes, dahlias can be planted in pots! Choose a pot that is at least 30 cm deep and ensure good drainage by placing a layer of hydro grains or gravel at the bottom. Use airy, nutritious potting soil and plant the tuber about 5 cm deep with the eyes facing upwards. Place the pot in a sunny spot and water regularly so that the soil remains slightly moist. Don't forget to fertilize occasionally during the growing season for an exuberant bloom!

How do I overwinter my dahlias?

Dahlias are not winter hardy, but you can easily overwinter the tubers. Follow these steps:

  1. Digging out tubers: Dig out the tubers after the first night frost. Cut the stems to about 10 cm above the tuber.
  2. Cleaning: Remove excess soil and allow the tubers to dry thoroughly in a cool, dry place.
  3. Storage: Store the dry tubers in a box or crate with a layer of dry sand, sawdust, or peat. Make sure the tubers do not touch each other.
  4. Store in a cool, dark place: Place the box in a cool, frost-free place, such as a cellar or shed, with a temperature between 4-10°C .

In the spring you can replant the tubers for a new season full of flowers!

What is the best location to plant dahlias?

Dahlias grow best in a sunny spot with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Choose a location with well-drained, fertile soil. Avoid areas where water can collect, as dahlias do not like wet feet. If the soil is heavy or clayey, mix some compost or sand into the soil to make it more airy. With the right spot, your dahlias will bloom profusely!

How deep should I plant dahlia tubers?

Dahlia tubers should be planted at a depth of about 5 to 7 cm , with the eyes or shoots facing upwards. Make sure the tubers are completely covered with soil. When planting, keep sufficient distance between the tubers, about 30-50 cm , depending on the type of dahlia. Water immediately after planting for a good start!

Should I fertilize dahlias when planting?
